My inspiration...
My father was a commercial fisherman as was his father who immigrated to Gig Harbor from Croatia in the 1890s. I learned to love the boats, the smells, the sounds and the people who make their living at sea. It's no wonder I looked for every opportunity to do charcoal paintings of fishing vessels and historic landscapes along our working waterfront.
